Mizuya

This is my second visit to Mizuya. First visit I was without a camera and was there for lunch. The lunch menu is very limited so the next visit I hope will be dinner. Mizuya is a newly opened restaurant on George St, right next to Pizza hut. It also has the unique touchscreens that wagaya has. I find the touchscreen a bit buggy as some items you click it claims you “received it already”. The dinner menu is very extensive and offers a large range of kushiage (Japanese deep fried skewers) and Kushiyaki (skewers). The menu is completely viewed on the screen I don’t remember getting a menu in “2d format” on both visits. It is a bit annoying especially for the people on the side furthest away.

The touchscreen and the drink menu. There last two rows on the screen are star signs drinks. There is also karaoke rooms at the back where you can order food too but there is minimum of $20 per person if food is ordered.

Touchscreen!

The order list also has the cooking and received icons like wagaya (on the left next to the items ordered)

Cancer drink – strawberry, lemon juice and Calpica water. This taste a bit like a lemonade with a strawberry milkshake.

Karaage Chicken, was surprised how big the serving was. This is a must order!

Camember Cheese Kushiage. I have a weakness for cheese I couldn’t help but order this. I prefer the wagaya version of “fried cheese” but they both used different types of cheese. This version is good too.

Salmon Sashimi. I was told this was very good too.

Img_3601
Wagyu Sukiyaki! The beef is so tender and tasty. The soup broth is a bit salty but luckily they gave us a pot of water to even it out.

Img_3602
Scallpos miso cheese. This taste like lasagne!

Img_3603
Tofu and seaweed salad. Needs more seaweed.

Green tea ice cream (only $1). Not bad.
